Restaurant reopening Easter Weekend 2012!

Whether you join us on our spectacular patio overlooking the bird sanctuary, lagoon and lake or in the spacious restaurant itself, dining is an experience to savour in our Italian Trattoria at Ruby Lake. The restaurant features a beautiful wooden bar with the centerpiece being a 3 foot wooden statue of several eagles. Our impressive wood burning, stone fireplace creates a warm and cozy ambiance. 

Our luncheons are particularly good value and combined with only the best personal service, we offer guests and visitors a unique experience in unrivaled surroundings.

We specialize in home grown ingredients, fresh produce and locally gathered seafood, complimented by a selection of fine wines. Fresh fish is the order of the day and local prawns, octopus, halibut, red snapper, clams and mussels feature prominently. Here at Ruby Lake Restaurant we support the Vancouver Aquarium's Ocean Wise Program by only accepting seafood from accredited Ocean Wise Partners.

We are also famous for our wild game dishes. Our menu and daily specials include wild boar, elk, caribou, arctic musk ox, ostrich and kangaroo. All our meat is either wild or naturally raised as part of a monitored and sustainable program.

Vegetarians are not forgotten at Ruby Lake Resort. One of our vegetarian specialty dishes is Penne con Funghi - made with chanterelle, pine, cauliflower, shiitake and king boletus mushrooms, as and when they are available. These wonderful mushrooms are also used to top many of the wild game dishes.
